The
Building in Sept of 2004.Right: After stripping the lot of weeds, we dug an 80 meter trench for the foundation of our fence. |
Lucy,
Amanda, and Noah, helping with the fence project.
After
filling the trench with crushed stone we formed 20 meters at a time and
poured concrete. Here Byeram and Noah are tying rebar. |
The
side fence is galvanized steel sheets but the front is block which we
set 3 rows at a time. Here the wall is about half finished.
At
this point we didn't have the cement mixer yet. You can see Byeram
and Decen in the background mixing the concrete that we used to fill the
blocks.Right: The wall is finished. But not the gates. |

Above: The back of the house when we bought it. Right: The foundation of our back porch/patio and a view of the fence from the inside of the yard. The white dog is "whitey". She is a Russian breed called "Leika." She started out at the church but when we had to put our German Shepherd down We decided to make her our home guard dog and buy another dog for the church. |
Above: You can also see the beginnings of leveling our back yard. One corner was about a foot higher than the other so we leveled it out with picks and shovels and many many many full wheelbarrows.
